Why Make an E-Card Blog?

I always thought that I could never edit pictures. Well, I thought wrong. As I learned, a human being can learn anything if she allows God to teach her and open her mind to other possibilities. So, here I am, editing away!

I use The Gimp for my photo editing, because I am on OS X and I love Open Source!

Enjoy my e-cards!

Pink-Ify My (Geek) World!

If you note, I happen to like a lot of pinks in my pictures. I just love that color, though I only learned to like that as I grew into my 20s. Before, I was more of the blues, blacks and silver girl. Maybe it's the estrogen kicking in. :)

Though I had edited other pictures before these, it was this first picture that gave me the confidence that I can actually create great pictures, after all.
Wonder of the Written Word

I was tired of my narcissistic pictures on my Friendster profile, because someone had mentioned that I was too narcissistic. So I made this one. This was what had first inspired me to make more edited pictures. :)

Writer? Or Pseud0-Geisha? :p

I was fooling around with Photo Booth and Gimp for a picture to post on my AceBucks store (I wanted to gather AceBucks moolah to be able to bid for gadgets; AceBucks is an "application" on Facebook with games where you can win, well, AceBucks, which you can bid or "buy" with), and I came up with this, heheh. :p

The Essence of DummyGeekGurl

Since I had created a new Twitter account for my DummyGeekGurl persona, and this was what I came up with. :) A couple of hours of edits and a very pink, but geeky, wallpaper resulted!

Corporate Boredom
I created this while "listening" to a lecture for the product we were to handle, as I tried my hand at being a tech support agent a few weeks back. This was the product of my boredom, heheh. :)

I wanted to use this for my wallpaper, because a boring blue globe isn't my kind of thing for my desktop's wallpaper. But since admin permissions were limited on our training stations, as expected, my efforts were frustrated. But no matter, I have this to show for my boredom anyway. :D

More to come!!!

Happy Birthday Helena!

Today is Lis' best friend (and my friend too) Lena's birthday, and so I was inspired to make an e-card for her.. It was her e-card that actually inspired me to create this blog.. Thanks Len! You gave me the final push in what I had been planning for so long, heheh!

I neglected to include the edit where it was just the "flat" solid peach background, but oh well. :) I lurve photo editing!

Eureka!

My best friends Lis, Kitchie, and I decided to hang out in my chaotic room that night, and after a lot of goofing off, we remembered that it was my other best friend Pau's birthday! So we picked our "least crazy" and yet oh-so-symbolic shot (Pisayers are considered geeks; and ain't this a trés geeky shot, eh?), edited it, and sent it to Pau. :)

For Cari

Cari is a dear friend and sister-in-Christ, whom I had met in a convergence for our churches, just this December 2007. When she celebrated her birthday in February, I decided to make her an e-card, and this was the result:

For My Father

This February, my father had celebrated his birthday. Since he likes cockfighting so much, I decided to use this as my theme. :)

Christmas 2007

I am usually the Scrooge-y type, but this Christmas of 2007, I wanted to share what I can, and since a comforting/encouraging word and a scene of beauty always inspires, I decided to send this out to people I cared about, and even those I worked with. :)
